Books and cinema: from book to screen

EKEBI supports, finances and encourages the cross-fertilisation of literature and cinema.

It organises:

• seminars on how to adapt works of literature into scripts
• lectures with professionals from the world of literature and cinema on how to transfer books to the silver screen
• screenings of films based on literary works

It awards:

• An Adapted Script Prize for the best adaptation of a modern Greek story into a short film
• An Adapted Script Prize for the best adaptation of a modern Greek novel into a feature film

• Thessaloniki International Film Festival
