| Collections
The subject of the Library’s collections is books: as a product of trade and industrial activity, an economic object, a cultural medium, a conveyor of information and an educational tool and a medium for transmitting spiritual and scientific discoveries. In addition to these general categories, there are other, more specific, categories, such as:

Statistics of production, circulation and use of books
The collection is completed by a series of bibliological periodicals, both Greek and foreign.
Organisation
In keeping with modern technologies, the library is organised based on the integrated library management system Advance, GEAC. All documents can be accessed via the online catalogue (OPAC), which also offers an option to print each search.
The Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2) and the Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC) were used to compile the catalogue and classify the material respectively. For the first time in Greek, a specific list of classification subjects with headwords of a bibliological nature was compiled by Kyriakos Delopoulos. The collection is enriched by purchases and selected donations.
Other Information Services
The Bibliological Library does not just operate as a conventional library which amasses exclusively “natural” material, but also as a centre for information and documentation, which seeks out and records information, citing the source for anyone who is interested. The adaption of bibliological collections is also based on this logic, and aims to provide users with the opportunity to search the bibliological material. To date, a section of the bibliological collection of K. Spanos (350 titles) has been adapted, and the selection and classification of other similar private and public collections is in progress.
