In order to evaluate these findings, EKEBI created the Book Monitoring Unit just two years after its foundation. It is a research and documentation service, which follows and classifies statistical and economic data relating to books, and the use of books by the public.
The aim of the Book Monitoring Unit is to create a complete, permanent, long-lasting and progressive information system, and to develop a range of indices, research projects, studies and archives. It includes the following categories:
