| Librarian Support Programmes
EKEBI provides free programmes to support reading in libraries, to contribute to a growth in their activities and to improve the services provided. The libraries that can benefit from EKEBI’s programmes and public/municipal libraries and school libraries.
Since 2003 EKEBI has participated in the Committee for the Support of Libraries. The committee was set up as a result of collaboration between Greek and international organisations to contribute to the development of public and municipal libraries in Greece. To date four international conferences have been held in Athens, one international conference in Thessaloniki at the 2007 Thessaloniki Book Fair, seminars and workshops with foreign experts in Athens and the provinces. The online journal Partnership has also been created; it features articles about libraries.

This is a specialist library which is unique in Greece, with more than 6,000 titles on all issues relating to books (book sales and the book market, publishing, production and techniques, the history of books, etc.).
