Kostas Akrivos was born in Glafyres, Volos, in 1958. He has written about the war of 1922 (Time for Miracles), Stratis Doukas (Story of a Traveller), the strange love affairs of notable characters in literature and history (Gun to the Breast), the Greek Civil war and the 1950-1960s (Yellow Russian Candle), letters that were never read (Voices in the Wilderness), cloning (The Laugh of the Seventh Day), male friendship (At Bottom It’s A Lie), the misfortune of being born an outsider (Foreign), and the fear of death (The Dative of Chaos). He edits the series A City in Literature and teaches Greek in secondary school.
