Makis Tsitas was born in 1971 in Axos, Yiannitsa. He studied journalism in Thessaloniki and went on to work in radio. Since 1994 he has lived in Athens, where he works in publishing. He has written short stories, plays and poems which have appeared in anthologies, journals and newspapers in Greece and abroad. His one-act plays In the Square and The Television have been performed by the "Theatro ton Kairon" theatre company. He collaborated on the screenplay of Christoforos Christofis’s film Monkey Queen.
