Rena Rossi Zairi was born in Athens and trained as a nursery and infant schoolteacher in Athens and at the London Montessori Centre. While teaching in a nursery school she has also written numerous books for children, and translated more than 750 books for children of all ages. She has appeared on many radio and television programmes dealing with children’s issues. Her work has won awards from the Greek branch of IBBY and the Greeks Association of Literary Translators.
