| 02. Παράταση αιτήσεων για συμμετοχή στο πρόγραμμα «Φράσις» του ΕΚΕΒΙ | | Η Επιτροπή του Προγράμματος «Φράσις» του Εθνικού Κέντρου Βιβλίου (ΕΚΕΒΙ) συνεδρίασε στις 13 Μαΐου αποφασίζοντας να παραταθεί έως τις αρχές Ιουνίου η δυνατότητα υποβολής αιτήσεων από ενδιαφερόμενους εκδοτικούς οίκους, φορείς, πνευματικά ιδρύματα και πολιτιστικούς οργανισμούς του εξωτερικού για την επιχορήγηση μεταφράσεων Ελλήνων συγγραφέων. |  |
| 07. Τα Εργαστήρια Βιβλίου του ΕΚΕΒΙ | | Από το Εθνικό Κέντρο Βιβλίου διευκρινίζεται ότι η λειτουργία των Εργαστηρίων Βιβλίου του ΕΚΕΒΙ έχει προς το παρόν ανασταλεί και σε κανέναν δεν έχει παρασχεθεί το δικαίωμα να παρουσιάζεται ως συνεχιστής.
Σχετικά με το θέμα έχει αποσταλεί εξώδικο προς το βιβλιοπωλείο που εμφανίζεται με διαφημίσεις ως συνεχιστής των Εργαστηρίων που επί σειρά ετών λειτούργησαν με επιτυχία από το ΕΚΕΒΙ. | |

A woman is preparing Sunday dinner at her daughter’s home. But the peaceful scene masks a dramatic interplay of truth and falsehood. Gradually the veil is lifted from a horrific murder. As she tidies her daughter’s house, Eleni drifts into memories of a life that went radically wrong in northern Greece. A man who has physically and emotionally repelled deserts his wife deserts her and his daughter. The grandmother mounts her own rebellion and the daughter pursues the allure of nightlife in Athens, with ugly consequences. This brief, no-frills story, somewhere between a theatrical monologue and a fragmented novella, depicts a family impasse in which all are to blame. Recklessness and indecision, haste and selfishness, have destroyed them. In a tightly wound plot, it takes the heroine three days to come to terms with the truth, which is hinted at from the outset but only emerges in full at the end.
