Vassilis Colonas
 Greek Architects in the Ottoman Empire (19th-20th Centuries), Issue No 10

Vassilis Colonas was born in Thessaloniki, where he graduated in architecture from the Aristotle University. He continued his studies in Paris, in the fields of restoration of monuments, art history and museology, while working at the French Academy of Architecture. He earned his doctorate from the Aristotle University in 1992.
He has taken part in many conferences in Greece and abroad, published studies in Greek and foreign books and periodicals, and participated in numerous research programmes.
He has taught post-graduate seminars at the University of Crete and since 2002 has been Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Thessaly.
