Achillleas Kyriakidis was born in Cairo in 1946. He lives and works in Athens. He has published ten collections of short stories, short prose pieces, and essays on cinema and literature. He has written three screenplays that have been made into feature films and has directed seven short films for which he also wrote the screenplays.
He has translated more than 65 books by writers such as Jorge Luis Borges, Georges Perec, Raymond Quenaud, Luis Sepulveda and Alfred Jarry.
