Soti Triantafyllou was born in Athens in 1957 and lives in Exarheia and Paris. She studied pharmacy at Athens University, and French literature, though a considerable time later. She has a PhD in American history and civilization. She has written two essays on cinema, four short story collections, seven novels and a series of short stories and novellas. She has collaborated on political essays. She translates from four languages and also works as a freelance journalist.
