Ioulita Ilioupoulou studied Byzantine and Modern Greek at Athens University and theatre at Athens Odeon Drama School.
She has published five volumes of verse and her children’s story What does Zeno Want? won the 2005 State Award for Children’s Literature. Her essay The Doll came out in 2008.
She wrote the lyrics for The Fir Boat and Jocasta by composer Giorgos Kouroupos, and for What does Zeno Want, set to music by Alkis Baltas.
Ilioupoulou also edits books and has collaborated with the Orchestra of Colours on programmes linking words and music.
