Demosthenes Kourtovik
 What the Barbarians Want, Issue No 35

Demosthenes Kourtovik was born in Athens in 1948. He studied biology in Athens and Stuttgart and did a doctorate in anthropology at the university of Wroclaw in Poland. He later taught the evolution of human sexuality and sexuality in art at the University of Crete. He has published 12 books (including novels, short story collections, essays and aphorisms), and has translated 62 books from eight languages. He is a literary critic for Ta Nea daily newspaper.
