Vangelis Iliopoulos was born in Athens in 1964. He studied education and theology, and since 1984 has taught in primary schools. He also writes books for children and young people, and writes on children’s books for journals. His work has won awards from the Women’s Literary Circle and two distinctions from the Greek Children’s Circle (the Greek branch of IBBY, of which he is also a member), and was included in the list of honour at the Fourth International Literary Competition at Bordano in Italy. A member of the International Reading Association, he also organises charity events.
