Maria Mitsora was born in Athens and studied sociology in Paris. She has travelled from the Arctic circle to Haiti, Beijing, Nicaragua under the Sandinistas, the Orinoco River and Santa Fe de Bogotá.
She has published short stories and travel writing in magazines and newspapers.
