Vasso Psaraki was born in 1945 in Athens. She studied at the Bakalo College of Fine Arts. From 1966 to 1974 she worked as a graphic artist at the Pavlidis chocolate factory, designing the packaging for hundreds of products, most of them intended for children. She has had seven solo exhibitions in Greece, one apiece in Cyprus and Finland, and has participated in many group exhibitions abroad. In 1997 she made costumes, scenery and installations for 14 episodes of the television programme Fairy Tales: Welcome to the Magic of Books, produced by the National Book Centre of Greece and the Culture Ministry. She is a member of the Visual Arts Chamber of Greece and the Children’s Book Circle.
