Ersi Sotiropoulos was born in Patras and lives in Athens. She studied philosophy and cultural anthropology in Florence and was cultural attache at the Greek Embassy in Rome. She has written poetry, novellas and novels. Her novel Zig-Zag Among the Bitter Orange Trees won the State Prize for the Novel in 2000 as well as Diavazo magazine’s fiction prize.
