Yiannis Kottis was born in Kokkoni, Corinth, in 1949. He studied painting and set design at the Athens School of Fine Arts, from which he receuved a scholarship that took him to the Paris School of Fine Arts for three years.
He has exhibited his work in Greece and abroad. His illustrations for What does Zeno Want? won the 2005 State Award for Children’s Book Illustration.
