Elsa Korneti was born in Munich. She studied economics at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki and at Trier in Germany. For over ten years she worked as a journalist for well-known newspapers and magazines. In 1986 she was awarded first prize in a national short-story competition organized by the newspaper, Ta Nea. Her first poetry collection, In the Shell’s Spiral, was published in 2007. She lives and works in Thessaloniki.
