Hagen Fleischer was born in Vienna in 1944 and studied history at the Free University of Berlin. He has lived in Greece since 1977. He is Professor of Modern History at Athens University, specializing in 20th century Greek history. He has represented Greece on international research projects and international examination and advisory boards.
