Mihalis Makropoulos was born in Athens in 1965. He graduated in biology from Athens University in 1988. He has written seven books for children and also works as a translator. The authors whose works he has translated include Stephen King, Clive Barker, Thomas Harris, John Connolly, Ernest Hemingway, Truman Capote, Ray Bradbury, Richard Powers and Michel Faber.
