Theodoros D. Papangelis was born in Thessaloniki in 1952. He studied classics at the universities of Thessaloniki and Cambridge. He has published articles in Greek and foreign periodicals. He researches classical Roman poetry and its relation to poetry of the Hellenistic period. He is professor of Latin at Thessaloniki University.
