Game with Princesses is a playful take on some very old stories. Argyro Kokoreli takes the reader on the trail of the pampered Prince Azure, who dreams of the perfect but imaginary Princess Blue. He mopes about, writing poems and infuriating his old father who wants to see his son married. One day the prince sets out with his dog Azor to seek his loved one but finds instead a pair of equally spoilt princesses who don’t quite fit the model of the fairy tale heroine. Having infuriated both of them, he flees. Lazybones the Witch gives him some help that will take him to the woman of his dreams, a surprise transformation and a funny ending. Delightful illustrations by Natalia Kapatsoulia and a series of songs written by the author and Hara Yiannakopoulou and set to music by Vassilis Tzavaras on an accompanying CD make an enjoyable package.
