Pavlos is at odds with the adult world. His parents are kind but they see things so differently from him. They’re not impressed with the Eiffel Tower he builds out of pillows, saucepans and chairs. When they bring home a new baby without asking him, his nose is seriously out of joint, but he doesn’t tell them he would rather have had a puppy than a little sister. The biggest change comes when they decide to move house to another neighborhood. Pavlos has to go to a new school and leave his old classmates behind, but he’d rather stay at home and play with the packing cases. Soon he has other issues to consider. Will Father Christmas bring a gift to his friend Alberto, recently arrived from another country? Can he learn to play the guitar? And can he make friends with a girl? For children aged eight and over.
