Daisy: Make Me A Princess
 Hara Katsari
Illustrator: Maria Tzampoura

30pp.
IntroBooks, 2008
ISBN13: 978-960-6680-45-8

A young witch called Daisy lives in an oak tree. Spiders weave webs in her kitchen because Daisy is fed up with making potions and spells. All she wants is to become a princess, lead a life of luxury and marry a prince. Her magical talking book offers no help: it seems a witch can make anyone into a princess except herself. Luckily there’s an exception in the fine print: if Daisy can find a princess who wants to be a witch, there’s a magic philtre that will enable them to trade places. Off she goes on her broomstick to the nearest palace, where she meets a very beautiful but very angry princess who’s only too happy to swap her life for Daisy’s. Before long, however, they both discover that not everything is perfect in their new lives. Children will love this story of transformation with amusing illustrations by Maria Tzampoura.
