| 02. Παράταση αιτήσεων για συμμετοχή στο πρόγραμμα «Φράσις» του ΕΚΕΒΙ | | Η Επιτροπή του Προγράμματος «Φράσις» του Εθνικού Κέντρου Βιβλίου (ΕΚΕΒΙ) συνεδρίασε στις 13 Μαΐου αποφασίζοντας να παραταθεί έως τις αρχές Ιουνίου η δυνατότητα υποβολής αιτήσεων από ενδιαφερόμενους εκδοτικούς οίκους, φορείς, πνευματικά ιδρύματα και πολιτιστικούς οργανισμούς του εξωτερικού για την επιχορήγηση μεταφράσεων Ελλήνων συγγραφέων. |  |
| 07. Τα Εργαστήρια Βιβλίου του ΕΚΕΒΙ | | Από το Εθνικό Κέντρο Βιβλίου διευκρινίζεται ότι η λειτουργία των Εργαστηρίων Βιβλίου του ΕΚΕΒΙ έχει προς το παρόν ανασταλεί και σε κανέναν δεν έχει παρασχεθεί το δικαίωμα να παρουσιάζεται ως συνεχιστής.
Σχετικά με το θέμα έχει αποσταλεί εξώδικο προς το βιβλιοπωλείο που εμφανίζεται με διαφημίσεις ως συνεχιστής των Εργαστηρίων που επί σειρά ετών λειτούργησαν με επιτυχία από το ΕΚΕΒΙ. | |

A woman in present-day Alexandria travels through the collective memory to the Hellenistic era. Present meets past through the symbols of art and civilization in Eleni Ladia’s novel, The Woman with The Ship on Her Head.
Ladia tells two love stories: one between an Orthodox Christian couple who are persecuted by followers of the Arian sect and another between a pagan couple whose precious votive objects are desecrated by Christians.
The passions and destructive force of religious dogmatism are set in contrast to the universality of human values in this tale where the violence of historical events clashes with the world of the imagination and love.
Successive reversals and sudden revelations take the narrative in a completely different direction from that which the writer has led us to expect.
This short but eventful story conveys a wealth of meanings and messages.
