Dionysis Magliveras was born in Athens. He has a doctorate in law from the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland and has held managerial positions in public administration and the private sector. In addition to teaching social communication at university, he has written books on sociology and public relations, published ten volumes of essays, and contributed to periodicals such as Efthyni and Nea Estia.His essays have twice won awards from the Athens Academy. Other honours include the Nikiforos Vrettakos prize from Athens Municipality’s Cultural Organization, the Pen Club essay prize, and the Gold Medal of the City of Athens.
