Argyro Barbarigou was born on Paros. She has worked as a chef for the past 12 years. In 2005, she transferred her successful restaurant, Papadakis, from Paros to Athens, where she now lives.
She presents cookery programmes on television and contributes articles to newspapers and magazines. She has also written Taste: The Third Sense and Argyres Zaramboukitses, a cookery book for children.
