Dimitris Sotakis was born in Athens in 1973. He studied music in London. He published his first book, The House, in 1997. His second novel The Green Door (2002) was nominated for Diavazo magazine’s fiction prize and received enthusiastic reviews in the press. He followed that with Eleven Erotic Deaths, a collection of short stories, and in 2005 he published The Discord, his best-known work to date.
