Isidoros Zourgos was born in Thessaloniki in 1964. He studied to be a teacher and has worked in primary schools since 1988. His first novel, Fraust, was published in 1995 by Nea Synora-Livanis. That was followed by Extracts from the Book of Oceanus (2000, new ed. 2007), The Kernel of that Summer (2002), and In the Butterfly’s Shadow (2005, now in its 18th edition), all published by Patakis.
