Two young cousins face bewildering changes in themselves and others as they approach adolescence. When Nikos and Rena, who live in different cities, spend their summer holidays together at a mountain resort with other families, their former closeness is suddenly tested in unexpected ways. New attractions and conflicts crack the surface of what had been an uncomplicated bond. The tension rises as Lalila, a glamorous newcomer, charms all the boys, including Nikos, while Rena feels drawn to a boy from a neighboring village. Though eager to make new friends themselves, the cousins both feel insecure and resentful as they see the other branching out, but they haven’t yet learnt how to voice their concerns without arguing. A dispute with lads from a nearby village and competitiveness within their own group of friends muddy the waters further. Argyro Kokoreli conveys the youngsters’ seesawing emotions and shifting alliances with humour and sympathy.
